چکیده
Abstract The thermal gravimetric analysis (TG) is a common method for the examination of carbonation progress cement-based materials. Unfortunately, properties some components complicate evaluation TG results. Various hydrate phases, such as ettringite (AFt), C–S–H and AFm, decompose almost simultaneously in temperature range up to 200 °C. Additionally, physically bound water released same range. In between 450 °C 600 °C, decomposition calcium hydroxide amorphous or weakly carbonates takes place simultaneously. Carbonates, like calcite, from limestone powder other additives may be already contained noncarbonated sample material. For this research, an attempt was made minimise influence these effects. Therefore, differential curves DTG results areas with various states material were calculated evaluated. Concretes based on three different types cement produced stored under accelerated conditions (1% CO 2 air). required obtained by cutting slices depths previously -treated specimen subsequent grinding. During preparation, special attention paid that no additional processes took place. As reference determination depth, sprayed application phenolphthalein solution carried out. Microscopic examined confirm assumptions previously. Furthermore, observed effect encapsulation caused more closely.

Bayesian Inference for Prediction of Carbonation Depth of Concrete Using MCMC
Bayesian inference of model parameters for the time dependent carbonation depth of concrete is presented. The statistical model is assumed to have a form of where implies the carbonation coefficient and stands for the modeling error which is assumed to have a normal distribution with zero mean and unknown variance. By the use of existing data for the natural outdoor exposed concrete, the poster...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Modelling and simulation of concrete carbonation with internal layers
Transport and reaction of carbon dioxide with alkaline species in concrete is modelled by a closed system of ordinary and partial differential equations. Varying porosity and varying external exposure as well as nonlinear reaction rates are taken into account. Proper nondimensionalisation is introduced to pay attention to the different characteristic time and length scales. We emphasise the eff...
